Kanye West refused to continue his show at the Qantas Credit Union Arena in Sydney on Friday night (September 12) until everyone in the crowd stood up.
Of course, the problem was that some members of the audience had disabilities and several were in wheelchairs.
An eyewitness told the Daily Mail Australia that Kanye yelled: “I can’t do this show until everybody stand up. Unless you got a handicap pass and you get special parking and s**t.”
One person in the crowd waved a prosthetic leg and Kanye confirmed they could sit down.
However, the rapper eyed another person in the crowd who was sitting down and sent one of his employees to check the fan was disabled. Once it was recognised that the man was in a wheelchair, Kanye said “It’s fine” and rapped on.
The celebrity gossip site TMZ.com spoke to someone in the crowd who said that Kanye didn’t mean to offend and that the whole thing is just being blown out of proportion.
