Sibusiso Simane, better known by his stage name, Sbuda-P, is a 24 year old South African songwriter, producer, Hip-hop and Kasi-rap artist.
Hailing from Soweto, South Africa, he found his love for music still in his tender years of childhood. Known for his impeccable punch lines, smooth storytelling and multi-rhythmic pattern flow, he found his inspiration for music through a compendium of multinational music genres such as American Hip Hop and South African Kwaito.
2011 proved to be an exceptional year for Sbuda-P, having released his debut mix-tape titled, “Danger box”. Known for the hit single, “Bhasopa” which aired on various radio stations across the country for a prolonged period of time, the mixtape was a
collaborative effort alongside the likes of Maseven and Axe-Ray. It featured some prominent and upcoming artists in the industry such as Red button, Siya Shezi, Ntsika of The Soil and Something Soweto. The musical project proved to be an overwhelming success, leading to the emergence and arrival of Sbuda-P in the industry.
In 2012 he released a solo mix-tape titled “Street Lights”, a project known to cater for all realms within the Hip-Hop scene, is often described as being more relevant, musically and in terms of the lyrical content. Street Lights built Sbuda-P up as an upcoming brand and unlocked a world in which he aspires to thrive. Having performed and shared the stage with the likes of Ifani, Kwesta, Proverb, Maggz and Tuks and Zulu Boy, he no doubt has the talent for all to see. This project also gave him a chance to be on the South African Hip hop awards (the corner) which was also televised on etv. This project has 5 songs rotating on radio stations and rocking the charts.
In 2014 he released his last mix tape called “Awegazi” which is also doing very great all over South Africa and it is an introduction to his first album that he is currently working on, titled “AWE GAZI”.
