Celebrities publicly losing weight is nothing new, but it is always overwhelming when it’s a personal achievement and not a way of getting more attention and publicity, so what is it about some celebrities that inspire us more than others? I think it’s about wanting to believe it’s possible, that it can happen for anyone, for that reason, you tend to find the most successful one’s most inspiring.
Singer Zahara has been on a mission to lose weight since December, this was after the singer posted a picture of herself in a bikini saying she wants to be “less than that” Now‚ five months later and it’s clear that her hard work is paying off. Zahara has been taking fans on an exercise journey with her‚ often tweeting pictures of herself working out.
Last year the Country Girl singer dominated headlines after media reports claimed that she had a problem with alcohol abuse. Zahara lambasted the reports‚ only admitting that she had been going through a difficult period in her life. But if her Instagram life is a true reflection of real life‚ it’s safe to say that she’s in a better place.
All of this celebrity inspiration can have a downside though. While watching a celeb drop pounds can be motivational, once they’ve actually lost the weight it can be disheartening. After all, celebrities have professional stylists and photographers to help them look their best. So those of us in the real world though can feel a bit deflated when we lose weight and feel better, yet don’t look or feel like a movie star.
But like the huge number of fans that commented on the pictures of Zahara’s new body, we’re also loving these changes from the star and relish in seeing more of Zahara’s transformation.
