The EFF on Tuesday refused to debate the State of the Nation Address (Sona) delivered by President Jacob Zuma last week, with party leader Julius Malema calling Zuma an illegitimate President. Speaking during the Sona debate on Tuesday afternoon, Malema said they would rather listen to the #FeesMustFall movement and the EFF Students Command (EFFSC) who are on course to completely doing away with slavery.
“The Sona was delivered by an illegitimate President…we don’t recognise him due to his incapacity, lack of direction and association with criminal elements.
“We do not want to legitimise the speech of an illegitimate President,” Malema said.
