DJ Sbu has been caught out in yet another white lie.
Sunday World has revealed that the R8-million golf estate house, which he gloatingly flaunted as his own on the SABC3 flagship programme Top Billing last year, is not his property.
The double-storey villa, nestled at the Eagles Canyon Golf Estate in Honeydew, west of Joburg, belongs to Roz Everitt, the co-owner of international property group Chas Everitt.
The paper reported that Dj Sbu is a tenant in the stylish house and pays a whopping R45000 rent per month.
The posh house, which set tongues wagging when it was flighted on the popular TV programme, was advertised in one of the daily newspaper’s property sections with a price tag of R7,9 million.
Chas Everitt’s estate agent Zelda Reyneke confirmed that the modern mansion, which comprises three bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms, three garages, a pool and a koi pond as well as white high-gloss and walnut kitchen, belongs to their company and that Sbu was their tenant.
“The house belongs to my partner Roz Everitt. I’m aware that it was on Top Billing but that’s people’s private life and has nothing to do with me,” she said.
